The 25th anniversary of the Bravo Maestro festival at the Paderewski Centre and the 15th edition of the Chamber Music Festival in Kąśna Dolna will be celebrated on 26-29 August 2021. From 1996 to 2018 the festival was held every two years, and from 2019 it is organised annualy.
Three extraordinary musicians, well known to the European audience, will inaugurate this year's festival on 26 August. The violinist Vadim Brodski, cellist Rafał Kwiatkowski and pianist Waldemar Malicki are renowned soloists and chamber musicians. The artists will perform in duets and in the finale they will present Ludwig van Beethoven's Trio in C minor, Op. 1 No. 3.
The Kulka & Kulka concert is a clash of two energies and two extraordinary artistic worlds: classical (Konstanty Andrzej Kulka) and alternative pop (Gaba Kulka). This evening we will also hear: Grzegorz Skrobiński (piano), Wojciech Traczyk (bass, double bass) and Robert Rasz (percussion). The programme will feature songs from Gaba Kulka's albums Hat Rabbit, The Escapist, Kruche, works played together with her father and fragments of the next, planned album. The violin virtuoso Konstanty Andrzej Kulka will perform works by Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
In the second part of the Festival, the soloists, the choir and the orchestra of the Silesian Opera in Bytom conducted by Franck Chastrusse will present a concert performance of Gaetan Donizetti's opera Lucia di Lammermoor. The festival's grande finale – Music Marathon – will feature the most outstanding chamber works performed by exquisite musical virtuosos. The programme will resemble the one of the first Music Marathon in 1996. Therefore, we will hear works by Fryderyk Chopin and Henryk Wieniawski.
