Szymon Nehring, an acclaimed Polish pianist of the young generation, and the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Liebreich will perform on November 15, 2018 at 7.30 p.n. at the NOSPR headquarters in Katowice.
This is another meeting of NOSPR and Szymon Nehring, after a well-received concert at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. The concert will open with the overture to Halka – the first opera by Stanisław Moniuszko, which gained wide recognition already during the composer's lifetime. Szymon Nehring will perform as a soloist in Ignacy Jan Paderewski's late-Romantic virtuoso Piano Concerto in A minor. The last piece of the evening will be Symphony No. 1 by Johannes Brahms.
The artists will present the same program two days later in Vienna.
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
