Silesian Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Krzysztof Dobosiewicz invites for the next holiday meeting with music on August 25, 2018 at 6.00 p.m. in the Silesian Philharmonic.

Many times, e.g. in Peter Weir's Fear, the most famous Symphony No. 3 "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs" by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki was included in the soundtracks of the films. We can hear music of the patron of Silesian Philharmonic in feature and documentary films, including Mike Nichols' Wit, Peter Mettler's Gambling, Gods and LSD, Liv Ullmann Krystyna, the daughter of Lavrans, and Lech Majewski's Accident. We do not always acknowledge how often musical masterpieces are used in the movies. Sometimes they play an important role, sometimes they are only background music. The orchestra will recall some of these attempts. The concert will feature famous symphonic pieces used in such films as Eyes Wide Closed, Pluto, Star Trek, Prometheus or Clockwork Orange.
