The Academy of Music in Łódź invites you to the eleventh edition of the AŻ Festival at the Academy Concert Hall in Żubardzka street. The programme of eight events planned from the 18th of November to the 3rd of December, 2023 will satisfy every audience, as it will include: musical, new music, jazz, pop music, percussion music, chamber music and finally symphonic music.
Academy Ensembles will perform: Symphony Orchestra, Big Band, Jazz Orchestra, PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra, New Music Instrumental Ensemble, Bacewicz Percussion Ensemble, Academy Choir and guests - New Music Orchestra and Gdańsk Jeunesses Musicales Percussion Group.
Special guests will appear on the festival stage: Krystyna Prońko, cellist Krzysztof Lenczowski and the French duo Fines Lames. The festival finale will feature violinist Maja Ludwika Tomaszewska-Klimek accompanied by the AM Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Humala.
The concert of Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej on 20. November will take place with an enlarged ensemble (works by J. Kolkovich and A. Tansman) together with students of the Academy of Music in Lodz, who will be rehearsed by the conductor Maciej Koczur. Collaborative rehearsals and work on the interpretation of the young students alongside a professional ensemble will provide an opportunity for sharing experience. The Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej will be directed by the artistic director Szymon Bywalec, as well as the conductor cooperating with OMN - Maciej Koczur.Concert tickets priced 30 and 60 PLN available at the Academy ticket office and on the website: www.amuz.lodz.pl
