On the 19th of March 2022 at 6 p.m. a concert on the occasion of 40th jubilee of Prof. Sławomir Kaczorowski will take place at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź.
Prof. Sławomir Kaczorowski (*1956) graduated from the class of composition of Prof. Bronisław Kazimierz Przybylski and music theory class at the State Conservatory of Music in Łódź where he holds a composition class since 1997. Among his graduates Grzegorz Duchnowski and Tomasz Szczepanik are worth mentioning as laureates of national and international composition competitions.
Prof. Sławomir Kaczorowski is a member of the Polish Society of Authors and Composers and the Polish Composers’ Union.
Concerto for Two Flutes and orchestra (2021) and Missa Brevis for mezzo soprano, choir and orchestra (2020) will be performed by the Choir and Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Łódź conducted by Jerzy Swoboda as well as by Urszula Kryger (mezzo soprano) and János Bálint i Ewelina Zawiślak (flutes). The orchestra will also perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s 3rd Symphony in E flat Major op 5. 'Eroica'.
