On 5-9 December 2021 the Department of Composition of the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź and the Polish Composers' Union will host the 78th Musica Moderna session – a celebration of contemporary music in Łódź.
The programme of this year's session included a symphonic concert, a performance of Anna Kwiatkowska / Mikołaj Pałosz duo, the final concert of the 6th "Moja (mi)nuta" Youth Composition Competition, an evening with electronic and electroacoustic music, and a traditional concert "Young Composers, Young Performers", presenting new works by composition students of the Academy of Music in Łódź. The four days event will feature pieces by Roman Haubenstock-Ramati, Anahita Abbasi, Matthias Pintscher, Mathias Spahlinger, Zdzisław Szostak, Artur Zagajewski, Bartosz Kowalski-Banasewicz, Olga Hans and Maciej Kabza, and others.
Tickets for the inaugural concert are available for purchase at the ticket office of the Concert Hall of the Academy of Music in Łódź, admission to other events is free.
Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the "Music" programme implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
