Lublin | "Time is Love": symphonic concert

FLThe last concert in the series "Time is love. In tribute to the Primate of the Millennium in the year of beatification", will take place at the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin on 25 September 2020 at 7.00 p.m.

On 3 October 2019, Pope Francis approved a decree that opens the way to the beatification of the Primate of the Millennium. The ceremony was to take place in June this year, but due to the threat of the epidemic, the event was postponed to an unspecified date, so that many of the faithful from all over the world could join the celebration on the spot. The common experience of the Primate's beatification is currently continued in the spiritual dimension, through the art of music.

During the last cncert in the "Time is love" series, the Lublin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Jerzy Swoboda will present works by Tomas Albinoni, Johann Sebastian Bach, Thomas Emanuel Cornelius – the first organist of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the main organ builder of Hamburg, who will also perform as a soloist, as well as Mieczysław Karłowicz's Serenade for string orchestra, Op. 2 and Wojciech Kilar's Orawa, a symphonic poem for string orchestra which reflects the musical traditions of the Podhale region.
