The next concerts as part of the 9th "Emanacje" Festival will be held at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławicn on the weekend of 31 July and 1 August 2021. We will hear the PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra and the outstanding pianist Piotr Alexewicz.
On 1 August at 7:00 p.m. the PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra will present works form the canon of "20th-century classics" – the music of Grażyna Bacewicz and Krzysztof Penderecki and a composition written especially for the ensemble – Fab Four by Wojciech Lemański. This repertoire seems to break barriers between what is traditional and modern; between classical music and valuable rock and jazz music. The PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra was established in 2012. It consists of talented students and graduates of the Academy of Music in Łódź. The founder, artistic director and conductor of the ensemble is Łukasz Błaszczyk, an outstanding Polish violinist and chamber musician, who has been associated with the Łódź academy for many years.
On the eve of this event, on 31 July, there will be a recital by the outstanding pianist Piotr Alexewicz – two-time winner of the Polish National Chopin Piano Competition in 2017 and 2020, participant of this year's 18th Chopin Competition in Warsaw. Currently, Piotr is a student of Paweł Zawadzki at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. The pianist has performed at international festivals: "Chopin and His Europe" in Warsaw, 73rd and 75th International Festival in Duszniki Zdrój, Gdańsk Music Festival, 36th Festival Chopin a Paris "Hommage a Clara Schumann". Moreover, he performed at the prestigious International Classical Music Awards – NOSPR in Katowice or at the Andre Malreaux Theatre Municipial in Paris. In 2019, his debut album with works by Liszt, Beethoven, Chopin and Ravel was released by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute.
