Miserere for soprano and string orchestra by Artur Słotwiński will be premiered by Aleksandra Świderek-Żakiewicz and Warsaw Modern Players Orchestra on November 12, 2016 in Warsaw.
Artur Słotwiński - Polish composer, pianist and laureate of 14 composition competitions, studied with Paweł Łukaszewski and Stanisław Moryto at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. He composed over 60 works, many of which were performed in Poland and abroad (recently his Piano Quintet was presented in CCM Cincinnati in the US).
Apart from the new composition, the programme includes also Elegy for Strings by Słotwiński. The performers will be conducted by the composer himself.
