Olsztyn | „Conductor – resident”: Martyna Zych in Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic
Martyna Zych's conductor residency at the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic in Olsztyn in the 2023/24 season is underway as a part of the National Institute of Music and Dance "Conductor - resident" programme. On the 1st of March 2024 at 7 p.m. in the Philharmonic Concert Hall as part of the residency programme Czech and Polish music will be performed.
Martyna Zych, a young conductor who was selected for this year's edition of the "La Maestra" competition in Paris, will conduct the Symphony Orchestra of the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic. The Concert Overture "Carnival" and the Cello Concerto in B minor by Antonin Dvořák and the First Symphony by Henryk Wars will be performed. The solo part in the Cello Concerto will be performed by Emil Olejnik, a student of the Juilliard School in New York.
