On 19 June 2020 at 7:00 p.m. the Józef Elsner Opole Philharmonic Orchestra, led by their concertmaster Andrzej Krawiec, will perform after a long break caused by the pandemic. The 68th artistic season will end with a live broadcat concert.
The programme of this concert creates a perfect symmetry. First, two works by 20th-century composers referring to early music: Krzysztof Penderecki's and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki's Three Pieces in Old Style. Then, two Ludwig van Beethoven's Romances for violin and orchestra and two symphonies by Carl Philip Emanuel Bach. The Opole Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by its concertmaster, Andrzej Krawiec, who will also perform as a soloist.
The concert is held as part of the "Philharmonic. Caution, it draws you in!" programme co-organised by the Institute of Music and Dance.
