An homage to Ignacy Jan Paderewski - a recital performed by pianist Joanna Szczepaniak will take place on November 25, 2015 at 7.00 pm in the Polish Library in Paris. The concert is organized by the Association of Polish Artists Musicians.
The programme includes Paderewski’s Fantastic Krakowiak, Op. 14 No. 6, Minuet, Op. 14 No. 1, Melody, Op. 16 No. 2, Mazurka, Op.5 No. 2, and piano compositions by Ludwig van Beethoven, Fryderyk Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Ludomir Różycki, and Aleksander Michałowski.
The performer, Joanna Szczepaniak, graduated from the Academy of Music in Katowice. She is a laureate of several awards at solo and chamber music competition, and a three-time recipient of the scholarship granted by the Fryderyk Chopin Society. Since 2008 she has been working at the Conservatory of Music in Clamart.
