The Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin invites you to a series of chamber concerts dedicated to the memory of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński: Philharmonic in Kozłówka - "Time is love". The concerts will be held until 28 August 2021 in the chapel of the Zmoyski Museum in Kozłówka every Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
The event, organized in tribute to the Primate of the Millennium in the year of his beatification, is to commemorate this important figure related to the historical Zmoyski Museum in Kozłówka. Father Stefan Wyszyński stayed in Kozłówka from 1 August 1940 to 1 September 1941. He was performing pastoral ministry and doing research, writing and teaching. His lectures for the sisters and discussions with other guests who were hiding at the Zamoyski's property were called the "Kozłówka academy".
The scheduled series of concerts will feature musicians from the Lublin Philharmonic as well as invited guests. On 3 July, Elwira Śliwkiewicz-Cisak together with a young composer, 11-year-old Miłosz Bachonko, will perform accordion compositions by, among others, Andrzej Krzanowski, Jerzy Mądrawski and Miłosz Bochonko himself. On 24 July, we will hear Fryderyk Chopin's Waltzes performed by Tomasz Krawczyk. On 31 July, Szeligowski Saxophone Quartet will present pieces for saxophone quartet – from the Renaissance to the present day. The programme of the last concert on 28 August will include, among others, Henryk Wieniawski's Polonaise de Concert in D major, Op. 4.
