5th edition of the Polish Music Festival in Moscow will be held between 12th and 16th of November 2015. The event line-up includes 3 concerts.
On November 12 TWOgether Duo, i.e. Magdalena Bojanowicz (cello) and Maciej Frąckiewicz (accordion) will perform compositions by contemporary Polish composers such as Cezary Duchnowski, Tomasz Szczepanik, Jan Duszyński, Aleksander Nowak, Mikołaj Majkusiak, and Wojciech Ziemowit Zych. The concert begins the cooperation with the International Contemporary Music Festival “Moscow Autumn”.
On November 14 the Moscow Philharmonic will host Romantic Quartet (Vladislav Naroditsky and Michael Bolkhovitin – violin, Andrey Usov – viola, Sergey Astashonok – cello). The ensemble will perform 20th-century String Quartets (composed by Grażyna Bacewicz and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki), as well as premiere String Quartet No. 5 by Aleksander Tchaikovsky.
On November 16 Sinfonietta Cracovia and French clarinetist Michel Lethiec under Jurek Dybał will present works by Krzysztof Penderecki, Mieczysław Weinberg, Maciej Bałenkowski, and Jakub Ciupiński.
The Festival is organized by the Krakow Industrial Society and directed by the Society’s vice-president Mariusz Szymański.
