Poznań | Premiere of the Kacper Smoliński's Concerto
On the 22nd of May 2022 at 6 p.m. in the Auditorium of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań the Amadeus Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Agnieszka Duczmal will perform a premiere of a Concerto for chromatic harmonica, percussion and string orchestra by Kacper Smoliński. The soloists will be Bartek Miler and composer himself.
The creation of the composition was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the ‘Composing Commissions’ programme implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
Jacek Rabiński's Divertimento Amadeus, Emmanuel Séjourné's Concerto for vibraphone and string orchestra and the Dag Wirén's Serenade for strings, Op. 11 will also be performed at the concert. The concert is organized on the occasion of the 85th birthday of the Programme 2 of the Polish Radio.
