Saxophonist Alina Mleczko and Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra under Michał Dworzyński will premiere Saxophone Concerto by Hanna Kulenty during symphonic concerts, which will be held on April 22 and 23, 2016 at the Warsaw Philharmonic.
Hanna Kulenty's music continues to fascinate audiences and to gain much critical acclaim which may be noticed in numerous prizes awarded to her works. Having studied with Włodzimierz Kotoński in Warsaw and Louis Andriessen at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, she divides time between Poland and the Netherlands. Those works of hers which she composes for particular soloists, make excellent use of the aritsts’ skills and very often discover new possibilities of their instruments.
