Tenor Piotr Beczała will give a performance on March 10, 2017 at the Teatr Wielki-National Opera in Warsaw.
Considered one of the world’s best operatic tenors and cast in leading roles at renowned opera venues in Europe and the US, Piotr Beczała been at the top for years. He compares his career to a mountain range, a hike with infinite challenges along the way. His lyric voice suits any repertoire.
In Warsaw, he will present works by Robert Schumann, Richard Strauss, Sergei Rachmaninov and Mieczysław Karłowicz, accompanied by Helmut Deutsch. Deutsch grew up in Vienna, where he studied piano, composition and musicology. He is internationally renowned as a chamber musician and accompanist. He began his accompanying career with Irmgard Seefried and has since accompanied singers including Hermann Prey, Jonas Kaufmann, Diana Damrau and Michael Volle. He appears frequently as a guest performer at music centres and festivals around the world. His wide discography includes many award-winning recordings.
