Next concerts "In tribute to Elżbieta Chojnacka" will be held on July 8, 12 and 14, 2018 at 6.00 pm at the Palace in Rybna, featuring harpsichordists Małgorzata Klajn and Aleksandra Gajecka-Antosiewicz.
During the concert on July 8 we will hear works by such composers as: François-Bernard Mâche, Ton Bruynèl, Jacob Ter Veldhuis and Mauricio Kagel. Next to the electronic layer accompanying the harpsichord (but also inside it), a human voice will appear as one of the elements of nature. The palette of sound colors of harpsichord will be contrasted not only with human speech, but also with the sounds of metal, African language and nature. Małgorzata Klajn, harpsichordist of the young generation, graduate of the Academy of Music in Katowice in the class of prof. Marek Toporowski, will perform along with the assistance of sound engineer Krzysztof Sztekmiler. The concert will be led by Piotr Oczkowski.
On July 12 Aleksandra Gajecka-Antosiewicz (in the foto) will present various composing techniques reflecting the sensitivity, imagination and intellect of a man of the 20th and 21st century. We will hear, among others, works "for the harpsichordist who speaks" as well as "for the harpsichordist who does not speak and does not play" (sic!). In the program: Claude Debussy, John Cage, and Sergio Ortega, and two premieres: Suite Op. 37 bis for harpsichord by Tomasz Kamieniak and Astartezma for harpsichord and tape by Aleksandra Gajecka-Antosiewicz. The next concert of the series will take place on July 14, and among the performers there will be participants of the Harpsichord Master Classes.
The concerts are co-financed from the funds of the Tarnowskie Góry Commune and the Palace in Rybna.
