"With classics through Poland": music for two voices and piano

imIt

Next concerts as part of the "With classics through Poland" series will take place on 1 August 2020 at the St. Martin Collegiate Church in Opatów (7.00 p.m.) and on 2 August 2020 in the Parish Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Strożyska (1.40 pm).

The aim of the project, which began in the second half of 2019, is to bring music performed by the most outstanding Polish artists to smaller community centres, cities, towns and villages; to reach audiences who have difficult access to classical music. Through contact with the great art and artists, new audiences are being introduced to the world of classical chamber music, having a chance to become its new enthusiasts.

The upcoming concerts will feature songs and chamber works by Stanisław Moniuszko, Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Karol Szymanowski and Gioacchin Rossini performed by outstanding artists: Anna Radziejewska (mezzo-soprano), Milena Lange (soprano) and Paweł Sommer (piano).

Admission to the concerts is free. Invitations can be collected at the Poviat Starosty in Opatów (17 H. Sienkiewicza St.) and at the Hospice in Busko-Zdrój (67 Bohaterów Warszawy St.).

The project is carried out by the Polish Music Management, operating at the Institute of Music and Dance, thanks to the support of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Prof. Piotr Gliński and under his patronage.
