Next concerts as part of the series "With classics through Poland" will take place on 6 November 2020 at 6.00 p.m. at the Staszów Culture Center, on 7 November at 4.00 p.m. at the "Świętokrzyski Shtetl" Education and Museum Centre in Chmielnik and on 8 November at 5.30 p.m. in the Church of Saint John the Baptist in Skalbmierz.
The aim of the project, which began in the second half of 2019, is to bring music performed by the most outstanding Polish artists to smaller community centres, cities, towns and villages; to reach audiences who have difficult access to classical music. Through contact with the great art and artists, new audiences are being introduced to the world of classical chamber music, having a chance to become its new enthusiasts.
The upcoming concerts will be performed by world-famous Polish musicians: pianist Janusz Olejniczak and cellist Tomasz Strahl, as well as his student Szymon Szopa. In their interpretation, we will hear chamber works by Fryderyk Chopin, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Handel, Camille Saint-Saens, Edward Elgar, Alfred Piatti and Franz Schubert.
The project is carried out by the Polish Music Management, operating at the Institute of Music and Dance, with the support of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage Prof. Piotr Gliński and under his patronage.
Admission to the concerts is free, but the number of places is limited.
