Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
The Polish Society for Contemporary Music announces the 14th 20th and 21st Centuries Music Competition for Young Performers 2022. The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Polish Composers' Union hold the Honorary Patronage of the event.
The competition is open to students from Poland (regardless of their citizenship) and Polish citizens studying abroad - students of second-level music schools and students of music universities (bachelor's, master's, doctoral, postgraduate studies).
The subject of the competition is music of the 20th and 21st centuries. Each piece must be composed by a different composer, including at least one Polish composer. Moreover, one of the pieces selected for performance must come from the PWM Edition catalogue.
The competition auditions will be held remotely only between
October 9-15, 2022.
Applications should be sent only in electronic form (audio-video), via the WeTransfer service by the
1st of October, 2022.
The Jury of the Competition will be composed of: Dariusz Przybylski, Anna Dorota Władyczka, Maciej Żółtowski. The winners will be selected on the 15th of October, 2022.
The Laureates' concert, co-organized with Program 2 of the Polish Radio, will take place on the 5th of November 2022 at 7.00 pm, at the A. Osiecka Music Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw.
The awards were funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The Competition's partner is Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne.
