3rd "Moniuszko on the Royal Route" Festival Online

The 3rd "Moniuszko on the Royal Route" Festival will be held online on 18 April – 16 May 2021. The concerts will be broadcast on the Jolanta Pszczółkowska-Pawlik's YouTube channel and on the Festival's Facebook profile.

The "Moniuszko on the Royal Route" Festival, organised annualy by the Pawlik Relations Concert Agency, aims to reintroduce Stanisław Moniuszko's outstanding, often forgotten chamber and vocal music to the circuit of culture. Festival concerts take place in the Staszic Palace, in the neighborhood where young Moniuszko lived in 1828-1830. The originator of the project, Jolanta Pszczółkowska-Pawlik, has released three albums in the series "Moniuszko – Songs" (vol. 1 – 2014, vol. 2 – 2016, vol. 3 – 2019); in 2018, she recorded all of Moniuszko's ballads for the first time in the history of Polish phonography.

The inaugural concert of the 3rd edition of the Festival will take place on 18 April at 5.00 p.m. in the Mirror Room of the Staszic Palace. Agnieszka Rehlis (mezzo-soprano), Krzysztof Meisinger (guitar) and Jolanta Pszczółkowska-Pawlik (piano) will perform songs from various periods in the work of Stanisław Moniuszko and Władysław Żeleński, whose 100th death anniversary falls this year.

The nineteenth-century composer's piano works will be presented on 16 May at 5.00 p.m. by Gabryś & Quinn Piano Duo (Maria Gabryś-Heyke and Monika Quinn) and pianists Anna Parkita and Barbara Wisłocka.
