The 15th Silesian Festival of Choral Song Magnificat will take place on November 19-20, 2022 in two locations: in the church of Holy Family in Bytom-Bobrek (National Choir Competition with workshops led by the composer Jan Krutul, whose specially composed piece will be performed by all choirs after the announcement of the results) and in the Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Bartholomew in Piekary Śląskie (Festival of Choirs associated in ŚZChiO together with workshops of experts of the National Conference ‘I have voice’).
Choirs from all over Poland will compete in the Competition, and, encouraged by the organizers, will also perform the works of Silesian composers. The organizers have prepared attractive prizes for the winners, including: the possibility of organizing a concert at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, financial and material prizes. The festival, on the other hand, is dedicated to choirs operating within the structure of the ŚZChiO and to the faithful audience of music lovers.
