- | 08 November 2025

The Chicago Chopin Society invites audiences to the inaugural concert of a new series dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Polish Composers’ Union. The event will take place on November 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the PianoForte Chicago Recital Hall (1335 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago).

The first concert will feature pianist May Phang, renowned for her imaginative programming and captivating performances. Her recital will include works by Fryderyk Chopin, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Witold Lutosławski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Marta Ptaszyńska, Ludomir Różycki, and Zygmunt Stojowski.

Each concert in the series will present works by Polish composers performed by American soloists, alongside pieces from Jarosław Gołembiowski’s cycle 24 Preludes: Music from Dawn to Dusk — a set of miniatures portraying the passing hours of day and night in various places around the world.
