August 23, 2024 at 19.00 Silesian Philharmonic will be filled with music referring to warm summer evenings. The Silesian Chamber Orchestra will perform under the baton of the institution's director - composer Adam Wesołowski.
The musicians will take us to the world of Shakespeare's drama thanks to Scherzo from A Midsummer Night's Dream by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. The program also includes one of the most famous piano sonatas by Ludwig van Beethoven - the so-called "Moonlight" arranged for string orchestra. And in the second part of the concert there will be two serenades: Eine kleine Nachtmusik by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Serenade for string orchestra by Mieczysław Karłowicz, full of romantic lyricism and subtlety.
