Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
The 10th Jubilee International Days of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki ‘Choros’, dedicated to the outstanding visionary, mystic and one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, is the largest and oldest event promoting his work, consolidating his place in Polish and international culture. This year's festival’s theme, which will take place at the Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice between the 12th of November and the 6th of December, 2022, is: ‘Concerts - premieres – multimedia’.
Performers are, among others: Dmytro Choni (piano), Negar Bouban (oud), Piotr Pławner (violin, conductor), Joanna Freszel (soprano), Mariusz Godlewski (baritone), Maciej Tworek (conductor), Yaroslav Shemet (conductor) and all ensembles of the Silesian Philharmonic.One of the concerts (on the 27th of November) was prepared together with Teatr Śląski, it was in its archives that compositions by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Wojciech Kilar to theater performances from the late 1950s and early 1960s were found. As part of the Festival, these works will be premiered, accompanied by a hologram!
