The 15th anniversary edition of the International Music and Art Festival "Sfogato" will take place in Cracow from October 17 to December 31, 2024. The festival program will feature concerts by renowned artists and young talents, the conference "Music – Art – Media" aimed at a wide audience, Music Workshops for talented students from music schools (both primary and secondary), and the International Music Competition Sfogato Stage 2024 (held online).
The International Music and Art Festival "Sfogato" is the only recurring event in Cracow where the music of Fryderyk Chopin serves as the main inspiration. The festival is organized by the "Sfogato" Music and Art Society, whose name comes from the Italian word first used by Fryderyk Chopin as a musical term. Pianist Marta Polańska serves as the festival's artistic director.
Artists from the "Sfogato" Society, along with invited guests from Poland, Bulgaria, Germany, and Japan, will perform, presenting not only the music of the Romantic era but also 20th-century works, including works by Ignacy Jan Paderewski.
The festival is held under the honorary patronage of Łukasz Smółka, Marshal of the Małopolskie Voivodeship, Aleksander Miszalski, Mayor of Cracow, and Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski, Metropolitan of Cracow.
