As part of the project of Dr. Aleeksandra Hałat, lecturer at the University of Silesia, ‘American Dream - Polish artists overseas’, five concerts will be held in Poland from the 6th of October to the 2nd of December, 2023.
The project aims to promote little-known works by Polish immigrant composers who composed in the United States in the 20th century, such as Karol Rathaus, Michał Kondracki, Feliks Łabuński, Tadeusz Kassern. During the concerts, works by Jerzy Fitelberg, unknown in Poland, will also be presented, which Aleksandra Hałat obtained during a library search as part of the NIMiT 2023 scholarship. The manuscripts of these works for violin and piano and for voice and piano are not available in any of the Polish libraries.
Concerts with the participation of Roksana Wardenga, Piotr Lato, Marcin Hałat and Aleksandra Hałat will take place in the Palace Complex in Koszęcin, the Palace in Rybna, the Castle Museum in Pszczyna, the ‘Galicja’ Jewish Museum in Krakow and the Town Hall in Nowy Sącz.
