"On the Trail of Polish Sonorism": Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Armenia, Moldova, Lithuania, Georgia

The project "On the Trail of Polish Sonorism" will start on the 14th of June, 2024. Its first edition will take place in Macedonia. Pianist Emilia Karolina Sitarz and flutist Ewa Liebchen will meet with pupils and students of art schools from Struga and Ohrid. On the 15th of June at 8:00 p.m. at the "Brother Miladinovci" Cultural Center in Struga there will be a concert with the participation of well-known and respected artists in the music community, promoting Polish sonoristic music. Admission to the events is free.

Emilia Karolina Sitarz and Ewa Liebchen will lead workshops on contemporary performance techniques for pianists and flutists, as well as a lecture for composers.

The culmination of these meetings will be a concert during which, in addition to works by such Polish composers as Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Marian Borkowski, Sławomir Kupczak and Maciej Jabłoński, compositions by young Macedonian composers inspired by Polish sonorism will be presented.
