Warsaw | Final of the first concert tour of the National Brass Orchestra
On the 24th of May 2022 at 7.00 p.m. in the Witold Lutoslawski Concert Studio of the Polish Radio in Warsaw, the final of the first concert tour of the National Brass Orchestra lead by Mariusz Dziubek with the participation of soloists: Paweł Gusnar (saxophone) and Adam Rapa (trumpet) will take place.
The programme of the evening will be filled with well-known works in new arrangements - Bolero by Maurice Ravel, Overture from the Flittermouse by Johann Strauss II, Mars from the Planets suite, Op. 32 by Gustav Holst, George Gershwin's Blue Rhapsody with a solo trumpet part, as well as the Pittsburgh Overture for wind orchestra, harmonium, piano and percussion by Krzysztof Penderecki and Concerto for alto saxophone and brass band ‘Birds’ by Japanese composer Toshio Mashima, rarely performed in Poland with an improvised cadence which shows the best qualities of the saxophone. A word about music will be given by Anna Karna.
