Women's Month at the Tadeusz Baird Zielona Góra Philharmonic will abound in as many as three symphonic concerts, a piano recital, an oratorio concert and educational concerts, which will take place on March 3-31, 2023.
During the inaugurating concert, the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by Joanna Natalia Ślusarczyk, and the French horn player Michał Szczerba will perform as a soloist. We will hear the Concerto in Green by Zielona Góra composer Katarzyna Kwiecień-Długosz, which was commissioned by the Zielona Góra Philharmonic and will be performed for the first time this evening. The composition was written for the Gdańsk horn player Michał Szczerba, who was its originator. We will also hear works by Debussy, Bizet and the Overture in the old style of the patron of the Philharmonic.
Participation in the following concerts was announced by, among others, conductors Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny and Ewa Strusińska, singers Dagmara Rybak, Solomia Pavlenko and Justyna Khil, pianist Aleksandra Świgut, violinists Katarzyna Górska, Zuzanna Włodarczyk, violist Natalia Rychlik and the Wrocław Women's Choir.
