16^th edition of the Halina Czerny-Stefańska and Ludwik Stefański Piano Competition can be called historic... It ended on Thursday (December 1, 2022) and had a special dimension. Not only because two important anniversaries coincided this year: the 100^th anniversary of the birth of Professor Halina Czerny-Stefańska and the 40^th anniversary of the death of Professor Ludwik Stefański, but also because the biggest number of participants so far took part in it.

Out of over 70 participants registered to the Competition sixty-five young pianists in four age groups presented themselves to the jury composed of: Prof. Elżbieta Stefańska (chairman), Prof. Zofia Antes, Prof. Elżbieta Tarnawska, Teruyuki Okada, and Prof. Hubert Rutkowski.
