Another edition of Polish Duo Competition associates as many as eight music academies. This year’s edition is organized by the Karol Lipiński Music Academy in Wrocław. Auditions for instrumental duets will take place between 25^th and 26^th of March while auditions for vocal duets between 27^th and 28^th of March. The event will be broadcasted online on YouTube AMKL.

The competition is aimed solely at students. The jury will comprise of experts from the most important music centres in Poland.

Promotion of Polish music plays a significant role in the Competition. In the previous editions of the Competition pieces by Fryderyk Chopin, Stanisław Moniuszko, Ludomir Różycki, Feliks Nowowiejski, Władysław Żeleński, Jan Gall and Zygmunt Noskowski (each year respectively) were to be performed by the vocal duets. In this year’s edition one of the obligatory pieces of the programme will be vocal compositions of Mieczysław Wajnberg.

As part of the event masterclasses for contestants will also take place, this year lead by Tobias Koch. Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as well as Lower Silesia Voivodeship Marshall and President of the city of Wrocław will be event’s patrons.
