Marek Stachowski – Isang Yun. Masters and Their Students

StachowskiAcademy of Music in Krakow will host the event "Marek Stachowski – Isang Yun. Masters and Their Students" on October 18-19, 2016.

In what way the personality and the works of the masters influence the oeuvre of the students? The audience will be challenged to answer his question during the Marek Stachowski – Isang Yun. Masters and Their Students event, which consists of Michail Travlos’ lecture devoted to his teacher Isang Yun, and Yun’s other students and the concert featuring works by Marek Stachowski and Isang Yun, as well as works of their students including Wojciech Ziemowit Zych, Maciej Jabłoński (world premieres), Sukhi Kang and Toshio Hosokawa (whose compositions will be performed in Poland for the first time).

The event commemorates the 80th anniversary of birth of Prof. Marek Stachowski, composer and lecturer, rector of the Academy of Music in Kraków.
