The 3rd edition of the "Polish Music Rediscovered" Festival will be held on November 19 and December 9, 2017. The programme will feature stylistically varied Polish compositions.
The festival is organized by the National Centre for Culture as a part of the "History of Polish Music" project. This year's edition is co-organized by Polish Radio. It will cover two concerts, both at The Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio, at 7 p.m.
On November 17th Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Michał Klauza will perform works of four Polish composers from the turn of 18th and 19th century: Karol Kurpiński, Wojciech Dankowski, Maciej Radziwiłł and Jan Wański senior. The second concert, on December 9th, will be filled with works by Witold Maliszewski (1873-1939). Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Tomasz Bugaj will play along with pianist Piotr Sałajczyk.
