A press conference announcing the "100 for 100. Musical decades of freedom" project was held on June 19, 2018 at the headquarters of the Polish Music Publishing House in Warsaw (8 Fredry St.).

Polish Music Publishing House, together with invited cultural institutions from Poland and abroad, celebrates the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence by organizing the largest musical project of free Poland.

The conference was attended by, i.a. prof. dr hab. Piotr Gliński, Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Jan Kowalski, Director of the Independent Program Office, Dr. Daniel Cichy, Director-Editor-in-Chief of the Polish Music Publishing House.

The basis of the undertaking is the "100 for 100" list, including 100 masterpieces of Polish music literature, created from 1918 to 2018. A difficult choice, in which the criterion of artistic value was the most important, was made by the Program Council composed of authorities and representatives of cultural institutions. It is headed by Małgorzata Małaszko-Stasiewicz, director-editor-in-chief of the Polish Radio Programme 2, who also took part in the conference.

The special guests of the conference were also composers: prof. Zygmunt Krauze and dr hab. Dariusz Przybylski.
