The second edition of Corno – Brass Music Festival will take place on August 26 - September 2, 2018 in Zielona Góra and Żegań.
Corno – Brass Music Festival is an unique event comprising master classes, chamber concerts, lectures, exhibitions of instruments, individual and group lessons, tuition for both professional as well as hobby musicians, number of events opened for the audience, which will take place in diverse venues of the cities of Zielona Góra and Żagań. The Festival will feature outstanding and world renowned musicians, wide and diversified audience and shall be the promotion of the beautiful city of Zielona Góra.The Festival is organized by three young citizens of Zielona Góra. They all started their musical education in the horn class of Iwan Moroz. After a few years of musical education at the leading European Conservatories they decided to come back to their home town to share their knowledge and experience with the young generation.
The 2nd edition of CORNO – Brass Music Festival goes with 24 great artists and over 70 participants of international music workshops. We invite soloists, chamber music and orchestral musicians, tutors and music academy professors from the most influential culture cities in Poland, Europe and the world. 6 main concerts, lectures, mental and health trainings, as well as an international exhibition of brass instruments will take place in many different venues. On August 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Zielona Góra Philharmonic, two French horn ensembles – Virtuoso Horn Duo and Hornet Quartet – will perform Elegy for 5 horns by Kazimierz Machala.
