The next concert from a series of master performances „SuperSam + 1”, organised by the „Mózg Foundation”, will take place on September 20, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. in the DZiK club (44a Belwederska St., Warsaw). The main performers will be Nicola Hein and Łukasz „Twix” Jędrzejczak.
"Supersam + 1" is a series of master performances. The project focuses mainly on music, however, it also includes other forms of expression such as: performance, multimedia, monodrama. “Supersam + 1” will present respected Polish and foreign artists whose work is original, experimental and innovative. On September 20, we will hear Nicola L. Hein and Łukasz "Twix" Jędrzejczak.
Nicola L. Hein, a guitarist, soundartist and philosopher, is a very active player on the German and international arena of improvised music. He plays the guitar with his hands and plectrum but also with a lot of diferent objects: screws, rulers, iron wool, violin bow, abrasive paper, magnets and many other objects which are part of his musical vocabulary. The result is his very own world of sounds, which is using the rich potential of the guitar as a creator of sounds. The manual creation is a very important character of this sound world, which never gets distorted by the use of electronic efects.
Łukasz "Twix Jędrzejczak is a sound artist born in 1985 in Bydgoszcz. He is a member of bands such as T’ien Lai, Alameda 5 or an ephemeral duo Mina. He plays synths, organs, samplers, effects, drum machines and percussions. From time to time he is also a singer and author of lyrics. He collects old record with music from Africa and Asia. He is interested in field recording. In 2017 together with Rafał Kołacki and Elżbieta Schulz he released a collection of field recordings from Marrakesh. Since 2016 he has been creating music for theatrical plays (Popołudnie Fauna directed by Dominika Knapik, Strach zżerać duszę directed by Agnieszka Jakimiak).
