The first concert of the "Weinberg in Poland" series will take place on October 6, 2018 at 6.00 p.m. in the NOSPR chamber hall.
The series of concerts is devoted to Mieczysław Weinberg on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the composer's birth. During the first concert, the Silesian Quartet together with pianist Piotr Sałajczyk will perform String Quartet No. 1 by Karol Szymanowski, rich in references to the folklore of Podhale, Schizophonia for string quartet and piano by Zbigniew Bargielski, commissioned by the Silesian Quartet, and monumental Piano Quintet by Mieczysław Weinberg.
