Warsaw | Chamber concert within the 5th Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Festival

On November 7, 2018 at 7.00 p.m., the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music will host a chamber concert as part of the 5th Ignacy Jan Paderewski International Festival, featuring outstanding soloists: violinist Janusz Wawrowski and pianist Mischa Kozłowski.

The programme of the November concert refers to the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. We will hear chamber works for violin and piano by Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Henryk Wieniawski. The first part will include Paderewski's Minuet, Op. 14 No. 1 (arr. Fritz Kreisler), Melody, Op. 16 No. 2 (arr. Stanisław Barcewicz), and Sonata in A Minor. In the second part of the evening, we will hear Wieniawski's Kujawiak in A minor, Legend in G minor, Op. 17, and Polonaise de Concert in D major, Op. 4 No. 1.

The Wednesday concert at Okólnik also belengs to the "Our graduates" series. Both performers are graduates of the Warsaw University of Music. Janusz Wawrowski studied in the class of prof. Mirosław Ławrynowicz, receiving a diploma with honors in 2004. Mischa Kozłowski studied in the piano class of prof. Piotr Paleczny and in 2013 he received a diploma with honors.

Tickets for PLN 15 are available at the Chopin University Press (2 Okólnik St., Warsaw) from October 24. The sale takes place from Monday to Wednesday and on Fridays from 4.00 to 7.00 p.m. and through the website www.umfc.bilety24.pl.
