Warsaw | Science and Art Conference "Polish Violin Sonata – genesis interpretation, reception"

The Chair of String Instruments of the Department of Instrumental Studies at the UMFC invites you to the 1st National Science and Art Conference "Polish Violin Sonata – genesis interpretation, reception", which will take place at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music and the Dziekanka dormitory on November 15-17, 2018.

The conference will include lectures, discussion panels, presentations and concerts related to the main theme. The event's main objective is to present broadly understood issues related to the Polish violin repertoire by building a scientific and artistic platform for the exchange of views and experiences, and practical activities that will contribute to raising knowledge about the native repertoire as well as improving the quality of education in the field of violin and chamber music. The papers delivered during the conference will be published by the UMFC Chair of String Instruments.

The teachers and students of all faculties of the FCUM and guests from other music centers in Poland, as well as Polish educators working abroad, were invited to participate in the conference.

As part of the conference, chamber concerts will take place, featuring music by Grażyna Bacewicz, Halina Krzyżanowska, Czesław Marek, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Roman Palester, Krzysztof Penderecki and Ryszard Sielicki.
