Gdansk | "Chopin at the Motława River"

PFBThe Polish Baltic Frédéric Chopin Philharmonic invites you to the next edition of the series of piano recitals "Chopin at the Motława River" which will be held on 12-26 July 2020. The concerts will take place at 8.30 p.m.

Pianists associated with the Tri-City will take part, performing works of our national composer, but also music of different eras and styles. Daniel Ziomko, Mikołaj Sikała, Maciej Gański, Bartosz Wiśniewski, Piotr Pawlak, Igor Torbicki, Patryk Morgaś, Maciej Frączek, Karol Garwoliński, Bartosz Skłodowski, Bogdan Czapiewski, Paweł Rydel, Sławomir Wilk and Natalia Zaleska will present their skills in a chamber repertoire. They will perform works by Joseph Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann and composers in the 20th century, including Karol Szymanowski, Sergiusz Bortkiewicz, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Grażyna Bacewicz and Romuald Twardowski.

Recitals in the foyer of the Philharmonic on the Motława will be held in the new sanitary regime. This time the Philharmonic will only receive a maximum of half the audience compared to previous years. The series of concerts, which last year enjoyed a huge turnout, today, despite the new situation in culture, will probably also attract numerous listeners from both the Tri-City and tourists.
