FSA concert of the Silesian Philharmonic Choir and the Silesian Chamber Orchestra on 27 August 2021 at 7.00 p.m. will be filled with works depicting inspiring night landscapes. The Philharmonic ensembles, led by their artistic directors – Maciej Tomasiewicz and Jarosław Wolanin – will perform compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Josef Rheinberger, Romuald Twardowski, Mikołaj Piotr Górecki, Zoltán Kodalya and Luigi Boccherini.

The concert will be opened by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's cheerful Serenade "Eine kleine Nachtmusik", one of his most recognizable pieces. It will be a perfect introduction to the set of works inspired by the mysterious atmosphere of the night: An die Sterne by Robert Schumann, Waldesnacht by Johannes Brahms, Abendlied by Josef Rheinberger, Esti dal by Zoltán Kodaly and Musica notturna della strade di Madrid by Luigi Boccherini.

The Silesian Chamber Orchestra will also perform Romuald Twardowski's Serenade for string orchestra. It is a piece full of humor, pulsating with rhythm and energy, ending with an extremely lively obertas. The subsequent vocal pieces will bring a moment of respite. We will hear, among others, a song to the words of Jan Kochanowski The Guest, sit under my leaf by Mikołaj Piotr Górecki, based on the famous limerick On the Linden Tree.

The concert is held under the patronage of PWM Edition as part of the TUTTI.pl project promoting the performance of Polish music.
