The Grand Theater in Łódź organises a series of concerts in the Łódź region dedicated "To Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, the Primate of the Millennium". The events will take place on 5, 7 and 26 September 2021 at 6.00 p.m. in the Church of St. Florian in Uniejów, in the Municipal Cultural Centre in Lututów and in the Tkacz Municipal Cultural Centre in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. Admission to all concerts is free!
This year marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of Poland's 'Primate of the Millenium' and the 40th anniversary of his death. In February 2001, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński's beatification process was completed and on 12 September 2021, we will celebrate his long-awaited beatification. The artists of the Grand Theater in Łódź want to commemorate this Great Man with beautiful music. The programme of the planned concerts will include works by such masters as Stanisław Moniuszko, Andrzej Kurylewicz, Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Leo Delibes, Bułat Okudżawa, Andrew Llyod Webber and Astor Piazzolla.
