The 13th Polish Choir Tournament for the Crystal Heart of Chełmno Autumn, organised by the Association of Friends of the Collegium Cantorum Choir from Chełmno, will be held on 23 October 2021 in the auditorium of the Secondary School Complex No. 1 in Chełmno.
Several ensembles will take part in the auditions: "Semper Fidei" vocal ensemble from Nakło nad Notecią, "Parati Semper" choir from Świecie, "Akatyst" choir from Kcynia, "Cantavi Ad Homini" vocal ensemble from Śrem, Academic Choir of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, "Armia Św. Jerzego" chamber choir from Poznań, "Corda Cordi" choir from Śrem, "Chcemy śpiewać" boys' chamber choir from Łódź, VRC choir from Warsaw. The competition programme will feature works by Polish composers: Piotr Jańczak, Jacek Sykulski, Paweł Bębenek, Jan Maklakiewicz, Grzegorz Turnau and Marek Raczyński.
Choirs will be judged by the competition jury composed of: Prof. Andrzej Ryłko – chairman of the jury, Prof. Arkadiusz Kaczyński, Prof. Monika Bachowska, and Michał Rajewski. The participants will compete for golden, silver and bronze bands. The best choir will receive the Grand Prix and 2000 PLN. In addition, there will be an award for the Best Conductor, a special award for the best performance of a work by G.G. Gorczycki and a special award for the best sound quality.
The tournament held under the patronage of the Mayor of Chełmno is co-financed by the Chełmno City Hall.
