Szczecin | Zygmunt Krauze - 60 years of artistic career

The author of seven operas and over 100 orchestral, chamber and solo compositions performed across the world – Zygmunt Krauze will celebrate sixty years of his artistic career on the 11th of February 2022. The event will take place in the Symphony Hall of the Szczecin Philharmonic at 7 p.m. Zygmunt Krauze will take part in the concert in person. His works will be presented by Oder Art Orchestra and vocal sextet ProMODERN conducted by Szymon Morus.

One of the most important artists of his generation Zygmunt Krauze is a renowned composer, valued pianist, pedagogue, music life organizer and juror at many international competitions. He was awarded among others the French Legion of Honour (2007) and title Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (1984). As a pianist he is also a performer of his own works.

Terra Incognita for 10 string instruments and piano and Apollinaire’s Poem for reciting pianist playing the out of tune piano and 12 instruments will be performed at the concert as well as one of the newest works of the composer Copernicus – Our Planet („Kopernik – Nasza Planeta”) for 6 mixed voices and string orchestra (2020).
