Programme of the piano recital ‘In a Romantic Mood’ performed by Ignacy Lisiecki on the 4th of February 2022 at 7 p.m. will be a journey through different epochs and styles. As the final part of the concert we are going to hear the 1st Polish performance of Marcel Chyrzyński's 'Reflection No. 8'.
Chyrzyński is a composer and pedagogue, pupil of Krzysztof Penderecki, tutor at the Academy of Music in Kraków. He has been following up on his ‘Reflections’ cycle using various solo and chamber setups.
World premiere of the piece took place in 2021 in Yokohama. Ignacy Lisiecki is known for promoting the Polish music in the country of the cherry blossom. Works by Frederic Chopin, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Serge Prokofiev are to be performed in the recital.
