Previously unpublished biographical information, photos and a detailed list of the works by the outstanding composer and accordionist Andrzej Krzanowski (1951-1990) are presented on www.andrzejkrzanowski.pl – a newly launched website in Polish and English.
The monographic website also presents information about awards, premieres, recordings and releases of his works. The website's creator is the composer's Foundation, operating from Czechowice-Dziedzice – the city where this "Chopin of the accordion" worked and created throughout his life.
The website includes: biography, works, media and bibliography. The biographical section includes: a short and long biography (downloadable in pdf), a timeline with unique and previously unpublished photos (selected photos are available for download), a list of awards, dedications and unique works as well as statements by friends, composers and performers. In the part devoted to his works, a short description and a full list of works are available, divided into thematic, chronological and alphabetical catalogs. As part of the description of each composition information is provided on the date and place of the composition, cast, duration, as well as release, available recordings and places where the manuscripts are stored. The whole is complemented by incipits of individual songs and their descriptions in the form of short comments and self-commentaries.
The Media section includes a list of recordings on various media (LP, CD, DVD, Blu-ray, Internet) and a list of other audiovisual materials (e.g. films available on the Internet),
while the bibliography includes magazines, books, scientific works, concert programs, festivals, booklets and reviews.
The website was co-financed by the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport from the Culture Promotion Fund under the Music program implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance and the ZAiKS Authors' Association. The website is adapted to meet the Digital Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Operated by Public Entities Act requirements. The portal partners are PWM Edition and the Little Academy of Music.
