Warsaw | Gala of the 47th edition of the Oskar Kolberg Award ‘For merit to folk culture'

polmicFestive Gala of the 47th edition of the Oskar Kolberg Award ‘For merit to folk culture’ will be held on the 6th of July 2022 at 13.00 in the Great Hall of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. Distinctions awarded once a year by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage will be presented to outstanding representatives of the traditional culture environment. Live broadcast of the event will be available on the YouTube channel of the National Institute of Music and Dance and on the website www.nagrodakolberg.pl. The audiovisual recording will also be available after the end of the ceremony.

In May, open-air photo sessions of the winners in their home regions took place. They present the laureates and the effects of their activities in an authentic setting. Picturesque landscapes of Polish villages and towns turned out to be a perfect space for presentation of the winners. Film and photo materials will be presented during the gala.

The concert of laureates is co-organized by the National Institute of Music and Dance from the funds of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and by the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage.

More information about the award (about its patron, mission, history, organizers, accompanying events) and, above all, about its laureates from the years 1974-2021, can be found on the website www.nagrodakolberg.pl
