Niedziółka will have many opportunities to show his skills during the performance of Krzysztof Penderecki's Cadenza. The programme of the performance includes Variations Op. 15 by Wieniawski a work writtenby him when he was only nineteen.

We will also hear compositions by Ernest Chausson, Johannes Brahms and Pablo Sarasate.

Warsaw | „Video scores" by Anna Jędrzejewska

Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC

VideoPartytury 16 12 23On the 16th of December, 2023 at 6.15 p.m., at the Quality Studio in Konwiktorska 7 street in Warsaw, there will be an open recording session of children's songs "Video score" by Anna Jędrzejewska, performed by students of music schools from Warsaw. Admission is free!

The educational project "Video scores" - a series of miniatures for children - was carried out as part of an artistic scholarship from the Śródmieście District of the Capital City of Warsaw. The series of works for children are film animations that suggestively and intuitively direct people to more abstract music and teach them to listen to atonal musical textures. Work on reading video scores, conversations with children, sensitivity to sonorism and abstract thinking in performance and creative practice are, according to the composer, the most interesting forms of developing the interests of young artists.

The recording session will feature: Wojtek Grzelak (cello), Oliwia Drejewicz (double bass), Tomek Rudolf (piano), Leon Boursin (trumpet). Kamil Kowalski (graphic layout) and Małgorzata Kaznowska-Filipek (animation) will also take part in the event.

Archiving works of Bogusław Schaeffer as part of the 'Digital Culture': score video

Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC

The AUREA PORTA Foundation of Friends of the Arts, which promotes Polish contemporary art, is expanding the Repository of the Works of Bogusław Schaeffer. In 2023, the resource was expanded to include score video (synchronization of recordings and notations): www.boguslawschaeffer.pl/pl/video. Schaeffer's musical notation, often abandoning the symbolism ("code") of traditional notation, pictures (and does not merely "encode") the sound form of works, so following it may be attractive to all those who want to admire the abstract beauty of these graphic non-notes.

The expansion of the Repository is aimed at re-introducing works that are outstanding on a global scale, and often forgotten, into the cultural circulation. The project, which has been developed for a decade and a half, includes the archiving of paper materials (music notes, texts and graphics, manuscripts and facsimiles from the creator's private archive) and their digitization.
